Trip Itinerary: Private 14 Day Around Morocco Tour from Casablanca


Day 1 : Arrival – Casablanca – Rabat

Once you land in Casablanca, the beauty on the Ocean, our local driver guide will meet and greet you at the exit of the airport, then you will be escorted to the hotel in Rabat (about 1 hour drive). Upon arrival to Rabat, check-in and free time to rest.

Day 2 : Rabat - Tangier

After breakfast in hotel, depart for Tangier. upon your arrival, enjoy a city tour of Tangier and her surrounding area, including the Spartel Cape and the Hercules Caves. Marvel at the picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean and the famed Strait of Gibraltar, a perfect photo opportunity. On this day, you will also visit the Old Medina of Tangier, the Kasbah, the romans cemetery -and the Grand Socco. Check in the hotel and overnight in Tangier.

Day 3 : Tangier – Chefchaouen

After breakfast in the hotel, you will head to Chefchaouen. Blue lime-washed houses, busy squares, steep alleyways, the best way to discover this old town is to wander around it. Your afternoon tour here includes the Outa-el-Hammam square, the cobblestone medina and the Tarik-Ben-Ziad mosque whose octagonal minaret is inspired by that of the Torre de Oro in Seville. This Andalousian architecture can be found in the Kasbah and its gardens, at the center of the medina. The rest of the day is for you to explore the charm of Chefchaouen on your own.

DAY 4 : CHEFCHAOUEN – MEKNES - FES

After breakfast in your riad, you will start travelling to Fes via Ouazzan and the Roman site of Volubilis. After a couple of hours drive, you will get to Volubilis, the well preserved Roman empire dating to 225 BC, where you will see the most beautiful Mosaics in Morocco dating back to 3rd century BC. Here you will have a guided tour of the site and learn a lot about the Roman Empire. After that we travel to Meknes, the Ismaili capital of Morocco. In Meknes we see the fascinating gate Bab Mansour built by the sultan My Ismail; the granary and the Sahrij Souani, used for irrigation and plantation. Your visit includes also the Mulay Ismail Mausoleum. We then continue via the highway to Fes. Overnight accommodation at the Hotel.

Day 5: Fes Guided Tour

After we will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco browsing its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter and the first Mellah ever built in Morocco. We will ensure that you visit all the sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University – the oldest in the region, the Tanneries and the Attarine museum. After lunch, you’ll see the ceramic factory and experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the new city” La Ville nouvelle” for a drink. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad. BB.

Day 6: Fes – Ifran – Azrou – Midelt

After breakfast we’ll leave Fes travelling towards Ifrane, a beautiful mountain village, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou – a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest (the largest in Morocco, you may well have the chance to see some Barbary apes arrival to Midelt afternoon and overnight at the Hotel

Day 7 : Midelt – Ziz valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Dunes Night Camp

Today we will continue the drive towards the pre-Saharan zone, passing by Errachidia and Erfoud, which is famous for its pottery and the interesting fossils which are a major industry in Erfoud. At around 350 million years ago Erfoud region was a part of the huge ocean. Day 8: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast in you will enjoy the sunrise View to get back by Jeep to merzouga village and you’ll leave for Tinjdad where we will have a short stop for Hinna and Th with a Local family and get to Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Lunch in the heart of the gorge precedes a drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight in our Hotel.

Day 9: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate

After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Marrakech. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We’ll stop at Kalaa Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over before heading to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. The Kasbah was built by Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th century, now a house of many Glaoui people. After we will get to our Hotel in Ouarzazate

Day 10 : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou- Marrakech

Today you’ll stop at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. The largest Kasbah in Morocco, was built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains, at the end of the 19th century to be one of his stops during his long trading routes to Timbuctu in Mali. Now the Kasbah houses many of the Glaoui family members. After visiting t the Kasbah we will cross the High atlas Mountain to get to Marrakech

Day 11 : Marrakech Guided Tour

Today can be devoted to sightseeing in Marrakech, the imperial city of the South. You will visit the Koutoubia Mosque and admire its tower, the Majorelle Garden; a botanical garden with its varied plants, the 16th century Saadian Tombs; all decorated in colourful mosaic tiles, the 19th century Bahia Palace with its beautiful eastern Architecture. You will have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, you will have time to explore the fascinating Souks and the narrow alleys around the Djemâa El-Fna Square. In the evening, you will be enchanted with snake charmers, singers, acrobats, dancers, narrators and story-tellers – moving from one group to another .Enjoy your dinner and spend the night in a hotel or Riad.

Day 12: Marrakech – Essaouira

We will drive toward the old Portuguese city of Essaouira after taking breakfast, by visiting an Argan factory, to see how the process of making Argan Oil, then visiting Essaouira coastal port, to have lunch and enjoy the fresh seafood in the medina. We will spend Night

Day 13: Essaouira – Safi – Oualidia – El Jadida - Casablanca

After taking breakfast, we will drive toward Casablanca, the Commercial capital of Morocco, exploring the stunning views of the road, passing by Safi, Oualidia to enjoy a delicious seafood for lunch, then to the old medina of El Jadida, was founded by the Portuguese in 1513, and which which was known as Mazagan .and get to Casablanca Where we will stay the night.

Day 14 : Transfer to the Airport
